IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System which is a paper based test.
Out of four modules, Writing is one of the modules in this exam. It is divided into two tasks that is Task 1 and Task 2. Task 1 for Academic students is Report Writing, while for General students, it is Letter writing and Task 2 is Essay writing.

The format of essay writing is :

Introduction (nearly 40 words)
(Leave a line)

Body Paragraph 1
(Leave a line)

Body Paragraph 2
(Leave a line)

Body Paragraph 3 (Optional)
(Leave a line)

Conclusion (nearly 40 words)

If the student is making two Body paragraphs then 100 words each otherwise for three Body Paragraphs, it is nearly 60 to 70 words.

What is IELTS? IELTS  is a standardized test used to measure whether the students applying abroad have an acceptable level of English or not. IELTS assess the level of the students on the basis of four language skills, necessary for communication. These are listening, reading, writing and speaking.
