NCLEX RN CANDIDATES
SPECIAL OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU!

There is a unique opportunity extended to select few of the NCLEX RN candidates who are appearing the NCLEX RN Examination between July and September 2017. After the completion of the scored examination questions, a new section called as the Special Research section will appear on the computer screen. It is not mandatory that the candidate appears for this section and in no way will it affect the scores of the examination.

This special section is aimed at collecting data regarding developing scoring rules, provide evidence of item characteristics and to determine how much time candidates spend on each item. This section is in phase one as of now and in the future, there are plans of including the NCLEX PN candidates also in this research section. This does not change anything in the NCLEX RN exam. The new section will take approximately 30 minutes and the candidate can at any time choose to quit the section or not complete it.

All these efforts are made in order to improve the test efficiency and make the test a better one for entry-level examination for nurses who seek to work in the United States and Canada. There is no set type of questions that will come in the special research section and therefore there is no reason to worry about the way to prepare for this section. The numbering of questions will continue to the Special Research section from the examination numbering. If the examination lasts for the total appointment time, the special research section will not be presented to the candidate.

In this kind of chart students should use sequential connectors.  Some commonly used sequential connectors are: First, Next, Then, After t...
