Tips and Strategies for Speaking Module

Stay calm and relaxed:

The most important thing while giving the interview is to keep the mind relaxed so that you can think of new ideas and vocabulary words at that time, because when the mind is not relaxed it stops working properly.

Spontaneous:

The second most important thing is the understanding of questions and to give the answers in a natural way according to the situation. Do not haste to answer the questions. Always think before you speak.

 Confidence:

Confidence also plays vital role in increasing your scores, so answer the questions confidently, so that examiner does not come to know that you are nervous.

 Fluency:

Most of the students think that if a person speaks fast then he is fluent but their perception is wrong. Fluency means to give answers smoothly with proper organization and expressions.

 Use voice recorder and mirror:

For practice, use voice recorder to rectify your mistakes and speak in front of mirror if you are doing speaking at home because it will develop your confidence and it will also improve your way of expressing your thoughts and ideas.

Watch online videos and Hollywood movies:

The problem with most of the students is that they speak expressionless and emotionless which seems like they are speaking essays and are reading the passage just. So watching movies and following their accent is a good way to improve.
