·        You get 30-40 seconds to complete the read aloud. Utilize the time given to look at the text and break text to make meaningful chunks. Make use of appropriate pauses to help you read more fluently.
·        When you are reading, your stress should be on the words that carry important information. It helps you convey meaning and add emphasis to key syllables.
·        You can also use rising and falling intonation patterns to show how ideas are linked to each other.

Repeat Sentence

·        The scores will be produced on the basis of correct word sequences produced.

·        Understand how the speaker uses stress and intonation of the recording. The intonation and stress patterns help in conveying the message. Therefore, try to copy the same pattern speaking calmly.

Describe Image
·        The describe image task checks your description capabilities. The better your organization is, the better your scores will be. This will cover the main information as well add additional details.
·        When you look at the image, sketch a plot in your mind and cover the main information given in the picture. You can also add additional details and talk about conclusions or implications based on the information given to you.

Re-tell Lecture
·        For re-tell lecture task, you must make good use of the image to predict the topic of the lecture.
·        You get just 3 seconds before you can listen to the recording and quickly look at the image on the screen. Utilize the time to think about the vocabulary. This way you can get an idea of the topic and predict what you are going to hear when the recording starts.
·        Include all the main points of the lecture, and do not be afraid to repeat the ideas. Do not hesitate and make good use of the time so that you do not lose score points.

Answer Short Question
·        When you are answering the short questions, do not pause for too long.
·        Start you answer when the recording status box change to recording. If you wait for more than 3 seconds, it will change the status of the recording to ‘completed’. It would mean that you have lost your chance of giving your answer.
·        While you are giving the answer, do not stop for more than one or two seconds, unless you have finished. Because if you stop for more than two seconds, the status of the recording will change to “completed”, which means you have finished answering.
