Reading Comprehension in GRE, GMAT, SAT and other competitive exams is one of the sections in all these examinations. Tips and Techniques of Reading Comprehension

        i.            Always prefer to read questions first (Do not read options)
      ii.            Then, understand the meaning of question.
    iii.            After that Mark some clue words from the question which you can easily locate from the passage.
   iv.            Subsequently, go to passage, do skimming and scanning, and look for clue words.
     v.            After locating clue words, read two lines above and below the clue word.
   vi.            Understand what you have read.
 vii.            The best suitable option is the answer.



Frequently Asked Questions

a)     Inferences Question: - Always prefer to solve these questions (what you have inferred from the passage) at last because you get an overview of the passage after solving other questions in the passage. Also, read first 3-4 lines opening and closing lines of each paragraph to get an overview of content in one paragraph.
b)    Author’s Primary Purpose Question: - Method followed in solving inference question is the same to be followed in Primary Purpose type of question.
